These are some simple DIY face masks to help remove impurities, hydrate your skin, and even improve your appearance, and these ingredients can probably be found right at home!

Recipe #1: Matcha & Honey Mask

Honey is an ingredient that’s anti-inflammatory and known to be antibacterial too. Matcha is an antioxidant that contains soothing properties, and they fight free radicals too. This recipe is easy-peasy!


  • One teaspoon of matcha powder
  • One tablespoon of honey


  • Mix the honey and matcha into a smooth paste.
  • Use lukewarm water to help it mix if needed
  • Apply to skin with a brush
  • Leave it one for 15 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water

Recipe #2: Banana Face Mask

Bananas are jam packed with nutrients, including plenty of benefits for the skin.


  • 1 half of a ripe banana cut into thin slices
  • 1 Tablespoon of Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil


  • Begin by mashing the banana into mush
  • Combine ingredients and stir thoroughly
  • Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes
  • Gently apply and massage into skin for up to 5 minutes

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 room temperature egg white

  • Mash the avocado until it turns into a paste

  • 58 ml of warm water
  • 118 ml of oats
  • 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil


  • Combine everything until a paste is formed
  • Use water to thin out the mask if needed
  • Use your fingers or a brush to apply this to the face
  • Let it sit on the face for up to 15 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water

Facemask #5: Turmeric and Oats Mask

Turmeric is known for being one of those super spices that fight free radicals, sun damage, and even work as an anti-inflammatory to the skin. This mask can also help out with combating acne scars.


  • 118 ml of oats
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of virgin olive oil
  • Water as needed


  • Ground-up the oats in a blender or grinder until it’s a fine powder (oat flour)
  • Mix all the ingredients
  • Add water as needed until a paste forms
  • Apply to face and neck
  • Allow it to sit for up to 15 minutes maximum
  • Rinse with warm water
