Why Choose Our Laser Treatments

Experience You Can Trust

With over 25 years in the cosmetic aesthetics industry and 17 years of laser treatment experience, every treatment is performed with a deep understanding of skin behaviour, safety protocols and treatment outcomes. This experience allows us to deliver treatments that are both effective and carefully tailored to the individual.

Expertise in Diverse Skin Types

Practising in London has provided extensive experience working with a wide range of skin tones and concerns. With Asian heritage and a strong understanding of skin of colour, treatments are approached with the knowledge and caution required to safely treat olive, Asian and darker skin types that historically had fewer laser treatment options.

Advanced Laser Technology

Our clinic uses the Cynosure Elite+ platform, combining Alexandrite and Nd:YAG laser technologies to treat multiple skin concerns safely and effectively. This advanced system allows us to treat Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI, delivering precise treatments across a broad range of cosmetic concerns.

Advanced Laser Treatments for Hair Reduction, Pigmentation and Vascular Concerns

Laser technology allows us to safely target unwanted hair, pigmentation and visible veins with precision.
Using the Cynosure Elite+ laser system, treatments are designed to improve the cosmetic appearance of the skin by selectively targeting pigment within the hair follicle, a pigmented lesion, or a blood vessel while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.

This advanced platform combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG laser technologies, enabling safe and effective treatment for a range of skin concerns.

For laser hair removal, the Nd:YAG laser allows us to safely treat all skin types from Fitzpatrick I–VI, meaning fair through to darker skin tones. This makes treatment suitable for olive, Asian and darker skin types who historically had fewer safe laser hair removal options.

Laser treatments can help improve the appearance of:

  • Unwanted hair
  • Age spots and sun damage
  • Pigmented lesions
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Thread veins and spider veins

Treatments are tailored to each individual based on skin type, the area being treated, and the condition being addressed.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal works by delivering controlled light energy into the pigment within the hair follicle. The energy is converted to heat, which damages the follicle and reduces its ability to produce new hair.

Because hair grows in different stages, a course of treatments is required to target follicles during their active growth phase.

Laser hair removal can help achieve:

  • Long-term reduction in unwanted hair
  • Finer and softer hair regrowth
  • Reduced ingrown hairs
  • Smoother skin texture
  • Reduced need for shaving or waxing

Most clients require 6–8 treatments spaced several weeks apart, depending on the treatment area.
Maintenance treatments may occasionally be required over time.

Pigmentation & Sun Damage Removal

Pigmented lesions occur when melanin becomes concentrated in areas of the skin due to sun exposure, ageing, hormonal changes or genetics.

The Alexandrite laser precisely targets excess pigmentation, breaking it into tiny particles which are naturally cleared by the body.

Laser pigmentation treatments may improve the appearance of:

  • Age spots
  • Sunspots
  • Freckles
  • Uneven pigmentation

The treated pigment typically darkens briefly before gradually clearing as the skin renews.

Most clients require 1–3 treatments, depending on the depth and size of the pigmentation.

Vascular & Thread Vein Treatments

Visible veins, such as thread veins or spider veins, can develop due to genetics, sun exposure, ageing, or hormonal changes.

Using Nd:YAG laser technology, targeted energy is delivered to the vein, heating and coagulating it. The body then naturally breaks down the treated vessel over time.

Laser vascular treatments may improve the appearance of:

  • Facial thread veins
  • Spider veins
  • Broken capillaries
  • Small superficial veins

Multiple treatments are often required, depending on the size and depth of the vessels.

Downtime & Skin Recovery

Laser treatments typically involve minimal downtime.

Following treatment, the skin may experience temporary:

  • Redness
  • Mild swelling
  • Warmth or tenderness

These effects usually settle within 24–48 hours.

Pigmentation treatments may cause the treated area to temporarily darken before gradually fading as the skin renews.

Normal daily activities can usually be resumed immediately, although heat, exercise and sun exposure should be avoided for a short period following treatment.

Daily SPF protection is essential following laser treatments.

Important Information

Laser treatments are designed to improve the cosmetic appearance of the skin and cannot cure underlying medical conditions that may contribute to hair growth, pigmentation or vascular changes.

Individual results vary, and multiple treatments may be required to achieve the desired outcome.

How I Work

Consultation & Patch Test

Every laser treatment begins with a consultation and patch test carried out at least 24 hours before your first treatment. This allows us to assess your skin type, discuss your concerns and ensure the treatment is appropriate and safe for you.

Treatment

During your appointment, the area is carefully assessed, and the Cynosure Elite+ laser settings are customised for your skin and treatment goal. The laser delivers controlled pulses of energy to the targeted area while protecting surrounding tissue.

Most treatments take 10–60 minutes, depending on the area.

Results & Treatment Plan

Laser treatments often require a course of sessions to achieve optimal improvement. Treatment intervals vary depending on the concern being treated and the natural biological cycles of hair growth or skin renewal.

Your treatment plan will be discussed in detail during the consultation.

Frequently asked questions

1. Why is a patch test required before laser treatment?

For safety and compliance, all laser clients must have a patch test at least 24 hours before their first treatment. This allows us to assess how your skin responds to the laser and confirm that the treatment is appropriate for your skin type and concern.

Patch testing is also required for insurance and safety compliance, ensuring the correct settings are selected and that your skin can be treated safely and effectively.

This step protects both you and the practitioner, and helps ensure the best possible treatment outcome.

2. Should I shave before my laser appointment?

Yes. The treatment area should be freshly shaved on the day of your appointment so the laser can target the hair follicle effectively beneath the skin.

However, please keep the hair visible for your consultation and patch test, as this allows us to correctly assess hair colour, thickness and growth pattern before beginning treatment.

3. Can I wax or pluck between treatments?

No. Waxing, threading, or plucking should be avoided during a course of laser treatments, as these methods remove the hair follicles the laser needs to target. Shaving is the only recommended method of hair removal between sessions.

4. Can I have laser treatment if I have been in the sun?

Laser treatments should not be performed on recently sun-exposed skin. Sun exposure and sunbeds should be avoided for at least 30 days before and after treatment, and daily SPF protection is strongly recommended.

5. What happens to the hair after treatment?

Following laser hair removal, treated hairs gradually shed from the follicle over 1–3 weeks. This is a normal part of the treatment process and indicates the follicle has been successfully targeted.

6. Who may not be suitable for laser treatment?

Laser treatments may not be suitable for clients who are pregnant, taking certain photosensitising medications, have active skin infections, or have certain medical conditions affecting the skin. These factors will be discussed during your consultation to ensure your treatment is safe.
