Advanced electrolysis uses a fine sterile probe to deliver a controlled amount of heat directly to the lesion. Will skin tag or milia removal leave a scar?
Advanced electrolysis is a precise cosmetic treatment designed to minimise damage to the surrounding skin. A small protective scab will form after treatment as part of the normal healing process. When aftercare advice is followed and the area is allowed to heal naturally, most clients achieve an excellent cosmetic result. As with any skin treatment, healing varies between individuals.
Is skin lesion removal painful?
Most clients find the treatment very tolerable. If required, lidocaine can be applied beforehand to help numb the area and improve comfort, particularly for larger lesions or more sensitive treatment areas.
Can I remove skin tags or milia at home?
We don’t recommend attempting to remove skin tags, milia or other benign skin lesions yourself. Home removal methods can increase the risk of infection, bleeding, scarring and incomplete removal. Professional treatment is safer, more precise and helps achieve the best cosmetic outcome.
Is skin tag or milia removal available on the NHS?
